The Laura Hoskins Hubbell room has a true elegant Victorian flare. It is very romantic and beautifully dressed in dark burgundy and green with cream lace.
It is the largest guest room and has a wonderful view of VanCleef Lake and our private dock. It has lovely arched windows. The fireplace has a black and gold veined marble faux finish. The room has period reproduction wallpaper with hand-stenciled frieze and hand stenciled original pine floor.
This guest room is furnished with a huge, ornate, Cal-King brass bed with a high-end Spring Air Brand mattress all dressed in fine quality linens.
Other furnishings include an 1860's Eastlake marble dresser, tables and chairs and other antiques and collectibles.
The lighting is authentic, electrified gas light fixtures. You'll find exquisite little treasures that give your room a unique flair.
In keeping the historical integrity of the house, the en-suite private bathroom is very petite, but elegant and functional. It features a modern shower (no tub) and an antique sink . . . all with brass fixtures. You'll also find high quality toiletries.
Please note: Although the photographs represent the rooms very accurately, there may be some minor changes, in the decor, as we do make changes as our collections grow.
