$135.00*- The Emma Powis
Randall room is a serene calming room decorated in colors of navy blue and lavender with an overall bird theme. It has a beautiful carrera marble fireplace. There are wonderful arched windows and half of the room has a coffered ceiling. The wall border is hand-stenciled with wisteria.
It has original pine floors and is furnished with a queen size,
golden finish, iron bed
with a high end Sealy Posturepedic mattress. The bed is dressed in fine quality linens. The
furnishings include 1860s Jenny Lind spool turned dressing table and dresser,
an 1870s medallion back Rococo settee and chair, authentic electrified gas light fixtures, and other antiques and collectibles.
You'll find exquisite little treasures that give your room a unique flair. We know that this room is the original "master chamber" because it is the only room that has a Speaking Tube that connects to the Domestic quarter's two floors below.
In keeping the historical integrity of the house, the
nice size private bathroom is
"down the hall" . . .
plush robes provided. The spacious bathroom features an antique marble sink, toilet and claw-foot tub with wonderful shower and fixtures all in brass. You'll also find high quality amenities.
Please Note: If you need two rooms, we have a
Companion Special Rate for this room and the Lottie Pollard room with a shared bath.
Please note: Although the photographs represent the rooms very
accurately, there may be some minor changes in the decor as we do make
changes as our collections grow.
